LAKERS STARTS TO GROOVE WITH LJ BACK

The King made his presence felt by lifting Lakers over Cleveland 113-101. LJ finished with 26 points and the hot shooting veteran Anthony added 24 points. Westbrook contributed 19 points and 15 from AD. On a side note though, it seems Lakers could not hold off its turnovers as they have again made 20. On a positive note, LJ's leadership accounted to their high field goal of 54.8%. Are we witnessing a competitive Lakers team this time, or are the basketball Gods hand them this win? We will surely see on their next games.

Miami (4-1) destroyed Hornets (4-2) 114-99

Butler, Herro and Adebayo combined for 84 points to defeat the visiting Charlotte Hornets. Miami's 47.3% field goal against a measly 38.9% FG slump from the visiting team sealed the night for the Heat.

Westbrook's option, red light or green light

Russel Westbrook and LA Lakers seem to be having a hard time playing as a team. With Lebron on the sidelines due to ankle soreness, LA's offense was mere dependent on Anthony Davis and Russel Westbrook. 

A triple double tazmanian devil, Westbrook is a scoring machine. Yet, his personal stats never brought his former teams to the limelight. Now with LA, and Lebron on the sidelines, letting the tazmanian devil do his stuff, brought havoc...not to the opposing team, but to the Lakers team. 

Lakers fans are clamoring to let go of Westbrook even this early in the season. Well this should not sit well with Lakers Management after a hefty USD 41 million contract was signed with the nine time all star during off season.

Westbrook, nine time all star is a rare talent. Lakers management at this onset, certainly would be too reactive if they are considering trade moves this early. The best thing that they can do is to let Russel start off the bench. Well this seems to be a good idea, though Im not sure how much of a lead LA would put in place before Russ eventually blows it all away =)

As fans, we are only hoping for the best of Lakers. Whether Ruas comes off the bench or not; with the championship experience of Lakers, for sure in a month or so they will figure it out.

ARE THE 2021 WARRIORS OVERHYPED? 

The game between the Golden State Warriors and Memphies Grizzlies today was action packed and needed an overtime to settle things. Warriors came up short even on a 43% FG on a 36 point contribution from Steph. There was even a sort of displeasure from GSW fans about Steph's late entry during the fourth quarter which was around 4 minutes remaining on game clock. Considering the legions of GSW fans around the world, with this lose, does it mean that GSW's 2021 pool is overhyped?

Well, that might not be the case. Golden State Warriors did not take care of the ball. They have committed 22 turnovers against Memphies 17. With the young Memphies squad headed by the very athletic Ja Morant, Warriors ran out of gas during the last quarter. Credit to the young Memphis guns, as they were very aggressive on defense, giving the Warriors a taste of their own medicine during the dying minutes of the game.

Looking forward though, this is still a learning process for all the teams. We are expecting a well oiled GSW as the season progresses and mind me, the other splash brother would soon join the squad. This could only mean trouble to the other teams.
